Sarah Schroder is Yup’ik and Unangan (Aleut) from Dillingham, Alaska and was fortunate to grow up heavily influenced by her culture’s traditions and practices. As Native people, we have a special relationship with our land and wildlife and have been taught to respect all aspects of nature and what the land provides. Sarah thought it would be fun to create something that allowed others to experience some of the cultural practices and wildlife that are vital to our livelihood. She hopes you enjoy bringing these illustrations to life with lots of colors and creativity!
